Torjus Jensen
CIO for Group Functions
Nordea – Denmark

Torjus Jensen is the CIO for Group Functions at Nordea, and an Executive Vice President.  He is responsible for Nordea’s enterprise-level data warehouse, regulatory reporting, analytics and anti-crime systems. Torjus has developed IT systems and lead global IT teams in banking since 1995.  He has predominantly worked with investment banking systems (Goldman Sachs, UBS), but also has extensive experience in asset management and retail banking (JP Morgan, Nordea).  Torjus has particularly extensive experience with large data systems – including enterprise reference data systems, event-driven data collection and management, data quality control, data warehousing, and big data technologies.  He has been a hands-on programmer, DBA, and data modeller,  as well as a technology division manager and strategist.  Torjus has a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, as well as other degrees from the University of Oslo. He is an avid kite-surfer and family man.
