European HSE (health and safety) Management Forum 4.0
This year our European HSE (health and safety) Management Forum will take place in the historical city of Prague, Czech Republic. We are all very excited to bring this event series to such an amazing location and meet new and old faces of the health and safety industry.
The event will be focusing on case studies and real-life examples as HSE (health and safety) is a very practical topic and we would like to put a big emphasis on success stories out there. As a special guest, we will have Jason Anker on board, who will share the story of his life-changing accident and effect of it on different life segments.
An expert speaker from Japanese Tobacco International will share the Wesafe program and the benefit of augmented reality in safety communication. Delegates will have the chance to listen to L’Oréal’s culture journey and how they have taken their experience over the last 10 years and reviewed what and how they drive toward excellence and beyond.
At the conference, we created women in health and safety session in order to highlight their contribution to this male-driven industry and the importance of female leaders. We will discuss the interesting HOP philosophy and what influences people to break rules and why will one set of corrective actions work for some people and not for others?
Many more interesting and up-to-date topics will be included in this year’s program, so stay tuned and see you on 5th and 6th of September 2019 in Prague!

Many people are afraid to request for training budget, because they can’t seem to find the “perfect time” to do it. Well, there’s no perfect time to ask for it, but there are definitely some moments that are better than others. For instance, if your boss is about to take a two week vacation, he/she might be in a good mood. If he/she just lost a major account, may not be wise at that juncture.
B. Make a case for yourself
When you ask for budget, you should be prepared with specific details and explanations about what is in it for the company and you’re superior. If you go into a meeting and just say, “I want to get budget for a conference,” it’s likely that your request won’t be taken seriously. If you want to plan ahead, then you should be prepared to explain the following points:
1. Start by stating your accomplishments
2. Show that you’re ready for more responsibility and eager to learn
3. Describe:
a) How this event will increase your productivity?
b) How you will need less supervision
c) How you can bring back the knowledge to the company
